Created during Sarah Leavitt’s keynote in which we were invited to reflect on various prompts to give us ideas for our 4-panel comics. The prompt I reflected on was: “When I was a kid I used to do this strange thing.” I have a vivid memory of brushing our cat on the front lawn, where the fur could fly and not get all over the house. I would sing “Close to You” by the Carpenters. I’m imagining a pink cat with pink fur flying off her while I brush her. Yes, that thing in the last panel is supposed to be a brush!
